This long day starts with being chuffered to the water taxi by Audrey in all her splendour. I hadn't seen so many people at the dock since last summer. My social lifelately, had been mostly Dorothy, sprinkled with sparse meetings with neighbours.

Carole and Tom Rogers were the official wavers. As the water taxi bounced off towards Lund they waved and we we all waved back.

Company doesn't get better than Dorothy. A overnight in Vancouver leads to the big airport and off I go.

    Pictured to your right:

    • me on the BC ferry approaching Horseshoe Bay. Dorothy is the photographer
    • me catching up on some work at the airport. Yes I'm working on YOUR site. The book on New Zealand said that if you drink a lot of water during the big trip you don't get jet lag.
